Focused support for trauma, stress, difficult memories, emotional triggers, and deeper healing work.
EMDR Therapy and EMDR Intensives
Some experiences stay with us longer than we expect. They may affect how we think, feel, respond, connect, sleep, work, or move through daily life.
At Kairos Counselings, EMDR therapy offers a structured, compassionate approach for individuals who want support in processing difficult memories, trauma, emotional distress, and patterns that may feel hard to shift through traditional talk therapy alone.
We are now offering EMDR Intensives with Bridget on select Saturdays, designed for clients who may benefit from longer, focused sessions in a private-pay format.
What Is EMDR Therapy?
EMDR, which stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a therapy approach designed to help people process distressing experiences in a safe and structured way.
When painful or overwhelming experiences are not fully processed, they can continue to affect emotional responses, relationships, self-image, and daily functioning. EMDR helps the brain reprocess these experiences so they may feel less distressing and less disruptive over time.
- Trauma or painful past experiences
- Anxiety and stress responses
- Grief and loss
- Distressing memories
- Emotional triggers
- Negative beliefs about self
- Relationship-related wounds
- Life transitions connected to past experiences
EMDR does not erase memories. Instead, it helps reduce the emotional intensity attached to them, allowing clients to move forward with greater clarity and stability.
EMDR Intensives With Bridget
Bridget will soon begin offering EMDR Intensives on Saturdays, a few times per month.
These sessions are designed for clients who may benefit from extended time for focused therapeutic work, rather than the traditional weekly therapy session model.
Who May Benefit From an EMDR Intensive?
An EMDR Intensive may be a good fit for individuals who:
- Prefer a longer, more focused session format
- Have a specific issue or memory they want to work on
- Have limited availability for weekly sessions
- Want to make meaningful progress in a more concentrated setting
- Are already familiar with therapy and feel ready for deeper work
- Are seeking trauma-informed support in a private and structured environment
An intensive may not be the right fit for everyone. The screening process helps determine readiness, safety, and appropriateness before scheduling.
