About Kairos Counselings
Body-centered mental health care that works with your nervous system, not against it. At Kairos Counselings, we provide somatic-informed therapy and trauma-aware counseling for children, teens, adults, families, and schools across Massachusetts.
Our approach honors the wisdom of your body and nervous system—understanding that behavior, mood, and pain are information, not problems to fix. We specialize in nervous system regulation, attachment-focused therapy, and relationship-centered care that meets you where you are.
Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, we create space for healing that feels grounded, safe, and aligned with real life. Serving Cape Cod communities in person (Falmouth, Mashpee, and Pocasset) and throughout Massachusetts via secure telehealth.
Who we are
Kairos Counselings is a group of clinicians, supervisors, and support staff who believe that healing is possible when people feel seen, safe, and respected. We bring together somatic informed psychotherapy, attachment and trauma theory, and practical skills that people can use in daily life.
We are not a quick fix clinic. We are a practice that helps people slow down enough to notice what is happening in their bodies, thoughts, and relationships, then make choices that fit their values and context.
How to get started
New clients follow a simple intake process.
Decide who needs care
Decide whether you are seeking care for an adult aged 18 or older, a child or teen aged 0 to 17, or a student in a partner school.

We review and follow up
Our client care coordination team reviews your information, considers fit and availability, and follows up with options for next steps.
One practice, three core divisions
Kairos Counselings is home to three closely connected organizations that share one mission: to support nervous system regulation, connection, and development across the lifespan.
Beacon of Hope Counseling
Beacon of Hope is our division for adults 18 and older. It is a private group practice that offers.
- Individual therapy for adults and older teens
- Couples counseling
- Adult focused therapy groups and workshops
- Telehealth services where appropriate
Beacon of Hope supports adults navigating trauma and post-trauma experiences, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, grief, relationship challenges, work and caregiving stress, and life transitions. Care is somatic informed and paced to match each person’s nervous system and capacity.
Brighter Beginnings
Brighter Beginnings focuses on children, teens, and families from birth through age 17. It offers:
- Individual therapy for children and adolescents.
- Play therapy & family therapy
- Occupational therapy.
- Parent and caregiver support.
Services are designed to support regulation, development, and attachment at home, at school, and in the community. Brighter Beginnings blends trauma-informed mental health care with sensory and body based supports so that kids can feel safer and more organized in their bodies and environments.
School-based Counseling
Our school-based counseling division brings care into schools so that students can receive support during the school day with fewer barriers.
We partner with schools to provide:
- Individual and small group counseling on campus
- Regulation and skills support that fits the classroom
- Collaboration with teachers, school staff, and families
- Coordination with outside providers when needed
School-based services follow the same somatic informed, trauma-aware lens, adapted to school settings and schedules.
How we think about care
We do not see people as a list of symptoms to fix. We see behavior, mood, pain, and survival strategies as information from the nervous system.
Across all three divisions, our care is:
Somatic and nervous system informed
We pay attention to body sensations, breath, posture, and movement. Sessions may include gentle body awareness, grounding, and regulation practices alongside talk therapy.
Trauma-aware and attachment focused
Many clients live with the impact of trauma, loss, or chronic stress. We keep safety, pacing, and relationship at the center of every service, whether we are working with an individual, a family, or a student at school.
Strengths based and culturally responsive
We respect identity, culture, and lived experience. We build on what is already working, and we do not assume that one model fits everyone.
Collaborative and transparent
We talk clearly about goals, expectations, and roles. We name licensure status and supervision relationships so people know who is providing their care and under what framework.
