Lauren graduated from Lesley University ('21) with her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Art Therapy, and received her Bachelor’s in Music from Belhaven University ('12). Lauren has been an active and varied musician, having performed with the Mississippi Opera, released two original singer-songwriter albums, and placing in multiple national songwriting competitions. 

Her love of the natural empathetic connection that exists within the songs and lyrics that move the human heart is what led her to Expressive Art Therapy at Lesley. Her clinical interests focused on military trauma (her thesis subject), but morphed into a passion for recovery from High Demand Religions, childhood trauma and attachment issues. While not engaging with clients, Lauren enjoys exploring Plymouth with her husband and daughter and rambunctious pup.
